Gardening flower plants
Gardening of flowers has become an important aspect of our lives. A small garden filled with various kinds of flowers in front of the house is a delight to everyone. Everyone admires and even dreams of such a house. Now, to categorise, flowers can be divided on the basis of their life cycle. And, on the basis of the flowering life cycle, there are three divisions. Namely, annuals, biennials, and perennials. Annual flowering plants
Annual flowers complete their life cycle in one season so it is easily changeable and it also gives a bright colour to your garden. These flowers are quite comfortable in the summer season and they are called sun-lovers.
Some names of flowers that can be grown in march and april – ageratum, aster, torenia, balsam, morning glory, celosia, salvia, cone flower, nasturtium, cosmos, crotalaria, rose-moss, cypress vine, dahlia, floss flower, globe amaranth, marigolds, petunias, and sunflower. There are also bright shade loving flowers like impatiens and bedding begonias.
Biennial flowering plants
These flowers grow more during the fall and spring. The life cycle of biennial plants begins during the fall and continues all through the winter season, finally ending in spring. During the fall season, the biennial plants produce only leaves. Then the winter period passes and they bloom in the spring, produce seeds, and then die.
Some popular biennial plants include foxglove, hollyhock, stocks, and sweet williams. The only disadvantage of biennial flowers is that it produces too much leaves.
Perennial flowering plants
Perennials are considered to be more of the ornamental plants. They do not die after blooming for just one season and showing growth. This does not mean they live forever though. Many perennial flowering plants are considered to have a short life. These blooms are alive and produce flowers for only 2 to 3 years. Some important perennials are; pink astilbe, blue pincushion flower, blue perennial sage, purple coralbells, threadleaf tickseed, russian sage, blue speedwell, purple coneflower, black-eyed susan and purple-leaved beard-tongue.
