Stadia’s head of engineering Majd Bakar said they would like to reduce the concept of using latency to the point where it’s basically nonexistent. He referred to the concept as “negative latency”. However, it must be kept in mind that though algorithms could be used to help predict a player’s next inputs, there’s no proven way to be sure that players will opt-in for that specific input. Especially in RPG and FPS genre of games, where one wrong input can change the outcome of the game.
