The Orbi Mesh Satellite gets connected to modem and then the satellites get connected to the router and extend the network in your houses. So basically the Orbi extends the network by taking the signal from the main network and spreads to the dead zones of your house. Sometimes setting up could be a task. So, over here we are going to see how to setup, login and how to sync Orbi satellite.
Setup and Login in Orbi Mesh Satellite System
Follow the steps to do the needful;
- Turn off your modem. Also take out the plug from the switch.
- Wait for ten seconds and the plug in the switch in the plug and turn it on.
- Connect your Orbi mesh satellite to the modem with the help of an Ethernet cable. By first plugging the cable into the router WAN port and then to the LAN port
- Put your Orbi router’s adopter in a plug and turn it on.
- Wait for the Orbi satellite LED light t turn white.
- Plug in your Orbi satellites in the same room with the router.
- To connect the Orbi satellites you also need to press the sync button and they will get connected to the router. If the Orbi pink light turn on it means that the satellite is not connected to the router.
- Press the sync button on the back of the Orbi satellites and also place it near the router and repeat the steps above.
- After the connection is done between the router and the satellite. Open the WiFi setting on your device which you want to connect to the network.
- Look for the Orbi network in your Wifi list and connect to it. The password would be the same as the password of your initial network.
Login Orbi mesh Satellites and Router
- Download the Orbi app from the play store or the app store. Open the app.
- First time user need to create an account with your email. By creating an account you can have the product offers and enjoy new offers. Tap on get started
- Tap on the enable camera, and scan the QR code on the Orbi Router. Tap on continue.
- Select your product and the number of Orbi satellites you have and tap on continue.
- Come back to the app and tap on continue.
- Tap on next, the create WiFi password page appears.
- Click on your Orbi Mesh Satellite WiFi network name and enter the password tap on next. It would ask for your username and the admin password to login.
- Chose two security questions. For in case you forgot the password or something like that.
Finally your Orbi setup and login is complete. Sometime the password is too easy to guess for someone. So you think of changing the password of the router.
Password change of Orbi Router
Follow these few easy steps to change the password of the Orbi through the website.
- Connect your computer or mobile to the Orbi satellite by the steps given above.
- With the help of your connected device open the web browser on it.
- In the search bar of the web browser type Orbilogin.com, and click on Enter.
- Login page appears on the screen enter the admin username and the admin password and click on Enter.
- The basic home page appears. Go to the advanced>administration>set password tab.
- Enter the new password which you want to be your password.
- After completing it click on Apply. Your new password would be applied.
After apply the new password, you can try to login once again and check if the new password is applied or not.
